| Veteran Falls is a memorial to America's brave men and women who gave their lives fighting the war on terrorism. At 290' in length, it is the largest waterfall memorial in the country. Located in Granbury, Texas, the waterfall is constructed of native stone from the surrounding acreage. Once completed, Veteran Falls will be the cornerstone of Veteran Falls Memorial Park, a 5-acre public park and is destined to become Texas' newest landmark. The developer of the property donated the land, the stones and provided start up capital, with the requirement being that the waterfall be at least 100' long. Waterfall artist, Robert Stapleton looked at this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build something truly spectacular to honor America's troops and it's veterans. Robert made the decision to make it really big, 290' long and 70' wide, accepting the responsibility to raise the remainder of the funds to complete the project. Robert Stapleton is currently holding seminars, speaking to civic groups and attending events where he can promote Veteran Falls in an effort to raise the necessary funds to complete this memorial. |

| A Note From Robert Stapleton: December 1, 2011 With 2011 coming to an end, I stop to reflect on all the year has brought. Through fund raising events and presentations to civic groups, we have had the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people. People who support America's troops and who support this memorial. We began working on Veteran Falls almost three years ago and yes, we thought it would be not very much about fund raising...but we are learning. Most memorials are not even started until ALL the funds are in place for the construction. We have visited with many groups, in many different towns, that are in the process of raising funds for a memorial. Some have not even gotten to that point yet. The most common question from these groups is "How did you get so much done in such a short time?" Many of these memorials are in the planning/fundraising stages for years and years, before breaking ground on the project. So for us to be 85% complete, after three years, is a major accomplishment. |
